Crafting – Devlog #3

In today’s devlog we would like to give you some insight to crafting and the importance of it in Rising Mist.

The crafting is very much intertwined with every day things that you can do such as framing, woodcutting or mining for example. Once the player has started farming it will eventually result in a crop yield. The abundance of crops yield form a harvest is connected with luck. If the player is lucky his fields can produce a lot of crop at the same time if he is not the harvest can be dramatically reduced.

Once the player collected the crop from his fields he can take it to be processed. Depending on what crop the player choose to plant. A raw product like corn can be processed to corn flour. While raw items such as corn are not valued as much as processed crop, therefore it only makes sense to process as much crops as possible to achieve the maximum profits of a harvest.

For some processed goods it is wise to have them in the pocket while other types of processed goods are needed for the journey ahead.
